The Challenge

For a leading manufacturer of bakery, pastry, and chocolate ingredients, unreliable packaging was taking a costly toll. Their existing pillow-style liners from a competitor leaked 50 to 100 times each year, with every failure destroying product worth about €2,000 per bin. Beyond the direct financial hit, leaks caused production delays, extra cleanup, and constant frustration for their operators.

The company needed a packaging partner who could eliminate risk, improve workflow, and protect high-value ingredients.

The CDF Approach

Our team began by working alongside the customer to understand where failures occurred — from leakage to valve security to the strain placed on operators during filling. The goal was to solve more than a technical flaw; it was to give their teams confidence in every fill.

We recommended trials with the Tosca 500L Superior, pairing it with our Form-Fit snouted liner, a 1” Elpo, and a DN50 bottom fitment. The adjustments to valve and clip design ensured a secure seal. Operators quickly noticed the difference: the liner connected easily to the filling head, required no extra handling, and filled without stress on the bag. Three production lines were filled without a single issue.

Encouraged by the success, the customer expanded to a 1000L Form-Fit liner trial in the Tosca 1000L Superior. Once again, the liner unfolded seamlessly, connected securely, and filled without supervision — freeing operators to focus on other tasks.
