Numbers tell a story. Ours happens to be 50+ years in the making.
In 1973, CDF Corporation was founded on a simple idea: engineer smarter packaging solutions that protect what matters most. More than five decades later, CDF has grown into a trusted manufacturer of high-performance drum, pail, and flexible packaging systems serving food & beverage, chemical, and industrial markets around the world.
And behind every successful manufacturing operation? A strong, disciplined accounting function.
That’s where you come in…
The Opportunity
We are looking for a Senior Accountant who wants to do more than close the books.
This role partners directly with our CFO to help guide the financial health of a complex manufacturing business. You’ll dive into cost analysis, inventory valuation, capital investments, and executive reporting, while also mentoring staff and strengthening internal controls.
If you enjoy balancing precision with big-picture thinking, this is your seat at the table.

- Prepare and analyze weekly management reports and cash flow reporting for executive leadership
- Lead annual external audit preparation and coordinate directly with auditors
- Oversee fixed assets, construction-in-progress projects, capitalization, depreciation, and ROI analysis
- Enhance financial and operational reporting using IFS ERP, Business Analytics, and advanced Excel
- Support budgeting and forecasting and partner with department leaders on budget-to-actual analysis
- Serve as payroll backup and review payroll entries for accuracy (ADP experience a plus)
- Mentor and support accounting staff; help improve processes and internal controls
- Identify opportunities to improve reporting accuracy and operational efficiency
This is a highly visible role with direct exposure to senior leadership and cross-functional teams.
What Makes You a Strong Fit
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- 5–8 years of progressive accounting experience
- Strong GAAP knowledge and financial reporting expertise
- Advanced Excel skills
- Proven ability to analyze complex financial data and communicate clear conclusions
- High integrity and discretion with confidential information
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
Strongly Preferred:
- CPA or CMA
- Manufacturing or cost accounting experience
- Experience with ERP systems (IFS experience is a plus)
- Audit coordination experience
- ADP payroll and 401(k) knowledge
What Success Looks Like
You’ll thrive in this role if you:
- See both the detail and the broader financial picture
- Balance analytical rigor with operational practicality
- Lead with integrity and professionalism
- Can juggle multiple deadlines without sacrificing accuracy
- Enjoy mentoring others and strengthening systems
