Floor Person – Third Shift

Floor Person – Third Shift

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 10:30 PM – 7:00 AM

Training for this position will be conducted on First Shift (Monday through Friday, 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM). The length of training will depend on individual performance, and employees will transition to Third Shift once the manager determines they are fully prepared. This approach ensures thorough training, safety, and efficiency.

CDF’s products satisfy a variety of markets and applications, including the food and beverage, chemical, and cosmetic industries.

Position summary: The Floor Person plays a key role in ensuring smooth production operations by assisting with various tasks, including material handling and ensuring the flow of production. This position requires a detail-oriented individual with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications required:

  • Mechanically inclined
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Ability to multi-task, trouble shoot, and work well with others and be a team player
  • Good communication and organizational skills
  • Fork Truck Experience

Essential functions and responsibilities:

    • Pull raw material and boxes from inventory for production line operators.
    • Wrap and store finished product according to specifications.
    • Make box labels.
    • Verify box labels.
    • Packages regrind.
    • Cover breaks and lunches for production line operators and blow mold line operators
    • Work on machines as necessary
    • Cover for shift supervisor in their absence
    • Receive incoming material.
    • Six months training on eight separate machines, training will also include:
    • Change over machines.
    • Separating finished product and scrap
    • Box product and verify packaging quantity according to specifications.
    • Conduct in process visual inspections & document.
    • Palletize product according to specifications.
    • Report quality problems to necessary personnel
    • Replenish supplies and clean area at end of shift.
    • Train on trouble shooting the process.
    • Follow all quality and food safety policies and procedures to ensure CDF products meet all applicable customer, regulatory and industry standards.
    • Must follow all company policies and procedures.
    • Other duties as required.
